Sai ~Matsu no Shirabe~

The Sai Series is a sake collection created together with women involved in the Miss SAKE Saitama competition, including Miss SAKE Saitama finalists. This sake was crafted in collaboration with Matsuoka Brewery. What makes this sake particularly distinctive is that it was aged in bourbon barrels, imparting a subtle oak character. This creates a unique taste and depth of flavor found nowhere else. The result is an elegant yet dry sake with a flavor profile unlike anything before. 

Tasting Notes 

The spread of umami and oak barrel notes merge to create a complex flavor profile. You can enjoy the changing expressions of taste - from the initial impression as it enters your mouth, to the aroma passing through your nose, to the flavors spreading throughout your palate. The rich taste pairs excellently with hearty dishes like sukiyaki.
